We have just returned from a wonderful week of health, healing, learning and love. Victoria hosted the Joy for Life Retreat where 28 participants from all over the world met near Mt Shasta for a week of green smoothies and The Work of Byron Katie. This combination of physical detox and mental cleansing is a truly transformative process. Everyone came away feeling more in tune with their bodies, inspired to lead healthy lives and aware of how to be free from stressful thoughts. The next retreat will be in Southern California in January 2010.

Throughout the week we were exposed to an array of green smoothie recipes and taste sensations. I have included a pudding which was hands down my favorite. This gem is better than any ice cream or chocolate flavored dessert; it will completely rock your taste buds. (Please note: Victoria doesn’t often recommend using things like chia seeds, etc, however as we were drinking smoothies every day she added a few small variations to the menu.)
