Dear Ann,
This is not medical advice, but I wanted to suggest that you may like to look into hydrochloric acids levels in the stomach. Victoria writes about this is Green for Life.

I love to have green smoothies for breakfast, but recently they have been causing severe stomach pain. Heavy NSAID use in the past has caused my stomach to be very sensitive to acids. I avoid alcohol, orange and lemon juices due to this problem.
Even green smoothies without orange or lemon cause stomach pain when consumed on an empty stomach.
Any ideas?
