In the wild, animals consume greens regularly. Domesticated pets often have limited access to greens. Victoria Boutenko believes this is why animals in the wild are notably healthier than animals in captivity.
Dogs can safely consume the same green smoothies that humans drink, however cats will need a blend without fruit.
If you have an ill animal you should try making them green smoothies! There is more information on this topic in the new book Green Smoothie Revolution.

Thanks for posting these. I was just wondering if I could give green smoothies to my dogs and cats and here is the answer.
I’ve only been on green smoothies myself for about a week but we love them. I really enjoy the info in your blog!
Hello, I have a 12 yo cat whose appetite has increased in the last two years, though unable to gain weight, tests don’t indicate diabetes or problems with thyroid. I am keen to try both cats on green smoothies, how ever so far both have refused to eat it. How much cod liver oil ( i purchased i a bottle should cats have daily ? ) any other tips to entice them to eat. Thank you
