Our farmers market has stalls selling boxes of discounted peaches  because they don't look beautiful. I buy a box, then pit and freeze most of the fruit for my green smoothies. My favorite peach green smoothie is simply peaches and spinach; its an amazing combination with a nutty flavor and also works as a base for experimenting.

  1. Thank you, Victoria, for your wonderful blog. I’ve been having green smoothies for breakfast nearly every day since last spring and the health benefits are too numerous to list here. I want to recommend adding some basil leaves to the peach (or nectarine)and spinach smoothie (I prefer nectarines to peaches). It’s an incredibly delicious combination and wakes me up in the morning better than caffeine.
