In Russia, there is a nice sending off tradition: right before the travelers leave the house to go on the train or plane, etc., they sit down with their loved ones for a few minutes and sing a song together. As I am leaving on a long journey, I have prepared my song to share with you. I invite you to sit on the corner of my suitcase and enjoy it with me.

I think each and every one of you is adorable. I bought Sergei and Valya’s book “Eating Without Heating” after reading through it at a friend’s home. While relatively new to a vegan and often raw lifestyle, the Green Smoothies are VERY new! Who’d-a thought? Thank you for inspiring us, Victoria – and as I am half ByeloRussian and half Ukrainian (although American-born), I have a warm-hearted bias. We are not destined to live on pirozhki and blini!
