I add a small amount of wheat grass with a milder green such as spinach and blend it with fruit to mask the taste. If I'm drinking just the juice I only have a couple of shots and eat orange immediately afterward. I have noticed that I can tolerate wheat grass a lot more these days, i think my body has got used to the strong chlorophyll. You may also like to look into Hydrochloric acid levels in the stomach, Victoria talks about this in Green for Life.

I know this is a rather late post but I did a search on your blog for some good recipes on how to mask the taste of wheat grass juice as it is a very powerful greens both in potency and taste. Many people I have talked to experience a stomach ache after drinking it, I do as well.

Any suggestions?

Yes, its ok to use Spring Mix, however it may be beneficial to add a few other varieties of greens throughout the week, as spring mix always has the same base of spinach, red lettuce etc. The more variety the better. I do think spring mix is far better than having just spinach every day. I try to have 5-6 different greens throughout the week.

Is it ok to always use “Spring Mix”, which contains spinach, red and green leaf lettuce, as well as other greens that change a little depending on the season? Would that be enough variety? (Our smoothies currently consist of Spring Mix, ripe bananas, blueberries, and a little raw chocolate.)
